This is a small portion of a blog I wrote on myspace a few months ago when my family started spreading rumors about me and my beliefs.
****Please keep in mind that these are MY beliefs and MY beliefs only. I do NOT force them upon anyone and I do not tolerate having other beliefs forced upon me.****
Yes, I am a witch. I sometimes use witch and Wiccan interchangeably. There are not many differences other than what is used during spell casting, Wicca is a religion, and witchcraft is exactly that-a craft.
*Wicca is a very nature-based religion and I respect all living things and believe they are alive and have souls.
*I believe in reincarnation. I believe we are all created with a purpose and until that purpose is fulfilled we will continue to live life after life.
*I do NOT believe in Satan; therefore, I do NOT worship him. I do believe in evil, I just use other names for it.
*I do NOT believe in harming anyone or anything. "Though it harm none, do what ye will."
*I DO believe in Karma. (What goes around comes around). Most Wiccan/Pagan practices believe in a 3 fold law meaning whatever that person sends out whether it be good or bad will come back on him or her times 3.
*I do cast spells occasionally. A spell can easily be compared to a Christian prayer. A spell is basicly a focus of energy (thoughts) sent in a specific direction for a specific purpose just as a Christian prayer sends positive thoughts and energy towards whatever the person is praying for. No, I do not turn people into frogs or mess with a person's free will. I don't do love spells and I don't try to raise the dead.
*No, I do not believe in the Christian God. I believe in many Gods and Goddesses (polytheism). For every God, I believe there is a Goddess. I do not believe Jesus was God's son. I believe he existed and was a good man who did good things, but no more.
*I do not believe in the Bible though I do think there are some good moral stories in it.
*I believe in Spirits and Ghosts. Spirits, I believe, have been here since before there were humans, and ghosts are either people who don't know they've passed or they are an echo of a person's energy left behind. (I don't think Abe Lincoln could haunt so many places at the same time).
*I do believe in a heaven, but I refer to it as Summerland. I do not believe in the Christian hell, though I do believe there is a place where all evil beings go to be tortured for eternity.
*I use herbs, stones, candles, and tarot cards. I do NOT sacrifice animals (or humans) for ANY reason. IF there is any blood in any spell it will be my own or that of a consenting participant who will be informed of what I am doing BEFORE I do it.
*I do observe some Christian holidays due to the fact that I was raised observing them and it is tradition. I just added in Pagan holidays. This link will explain the holidays, what they are, and when they are.

*No, I do not fly on a broomstick, wear a pointed hat, have a green face (obviously), or have worts all over. I do not poison apples and give them to people who I think are prettier than me.
*No, my family did not raise me Wiccan/Pagan. My father is Southern Baptist and my mother is Methodist. I was Christian for almost 20 years. I was in church when I realized it was not what I believed so I did some soul searching and research to find what I believed. Trust me, I TRIED to be Christian. I just couldn't force myself to believe what my heart didn't believe and it was too stressful and frustrating pretending.
Clint and I have discussed how we are going to raise the baby considering he does not believe the same as I do. I know many people are concerned about what religion the baby and any other children we have will be. We have decided to expose them to many religions and when they are old enough, they will be allowed to choose what they believe and will be loved no matter what it is.
